View of Sipadan Island

Sipadan island is an internationally well known dive site which is surrounded by the Sulawesi Sea. In term of geographic position of this island at Indo-Pasific Basin (also known as the richest centre of marine habitat in the world) that makes this place like paradise for all divers around the world.

With all the gigantic soft tree corals, huge gorgonian sea fans and barrel sponges makes the seascape decorated naturally. At the same time species such as turtles and sharks swim gracefully around this island while the steep walls form remarkable backdrop.

This island actually located near by town called Semporna, under state of Sabah(last time known as North Borneo), Malaysia. But the nearest airport to go there is Tawau. From Tawau, it takes an hour's drive to Semporna and takes another 40 minute speed boat ride before reaching there at Sipadan island.
